It has been my privilege to train with NATSTA for the past 11 years.  I began training under Miranda Warburton, in Flagstaff, Arizona, in 1998.  My early training was focused in yang style Taijiquan, Shen Long Xingyiquan, Liang Zhenpu Baguazhang, and Gao Yisheng Baguazhang.  In 2000, I joined the Research and Development study group for NATSTA and began to train directly under Dr. Vince Black as well.  Through my training with NATSTA I have had the good fortune to attend several intensive seminars – held both in the United States and Asia – that have allowed me to train with notable gongfu teachers, such as Tom Bisio, Share K Lew, Liang Kequan, Liu Shuhang (and other representatives from the GaoYisheng family), Li Runxi, Gao Jiwu, and Niu Zhongming.  My training through NATSTA has also allowed me to explore the wonderful arts of Liuhebafa, San Miguel Escrima, and Kajukenbo.   I currently hold Instructor certificates in Shen Long Xingyiquan and Liang Zhenpu Baguazhang, and I have served as the Chairperson for the Liang Zhenpu Committee since 2003.

I have been blessed to be able to study medicine within NATSTA as well.  My medical training has included training in Jin Shou TuinaTM, Classical Chinese Gongfu Medical Theory, CranioSacral Therapy, Watpo Southern Style Thai Massage, and Nuad Bo-Rarn Northern Style Thai Massage.  In 2002, I apprenticed under Dr. Vince Black and Jason Redinbo for three months in Tucson, Arizona through the Four Winds Health Center.  I have also maintained a small private practice since 1999.  I am currently completing a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.  I am scheduled to graduate in 2010.  I am also a member of the NATSTA TCM Committee.
